Back in business
Last modified: 17 Aug 2005

Things have been rather quiet on this blog for too long now and I apologise for that. I've just been away on holiday for a couple of weeks and before that life was quite hectic, hence the lack of updates. But I'm back now, and it's time to get things back in business.

Everything is starting to warm up in d: world right now. There are less than 3 months to go until the new album is released and things are getting very exciting. Plenty of people have been lucky enough to get hold of one of the the limited edition 'Now Is The Time' CDs to get an early taster of the new material. Anyone who has seen the band live in the past couple of months will probably have heard that track, plus one or two others. And on top of that, the d: fan rumour mill is in full spin regarding what the title of the new album will be. On that subject I can't say anymore, other than to say that I've been told the title will be officially announced quite soon now.

To promote the new album, a UK tour is being lined up for the Autumn and details of that will also be arriving before too long. Furious? have a carefully planned schedule for drip feeding information promoting the new album. That's why they haven't announced the album title, album cover, tracklisting or tour details yet. If they announced everything in one go, they'd have nothing new to tell people over the next few months. But by carefully controlling which details they announce over a period of time, they can keep building interest in the album and promoting it.

The band are currently in the midst of a busy summer, having recently made first-ever visits to Singapore and Ukraine, and with the 'World Youth Day' in Germany and 'Grapevine' in the UK still to come this month. They're also heavily involved in the Soul Survivor event taking place at the moment.
