CCM Magazine has included the Delirious? album 'King of Fools' in its
Best 20 Rock Albums of All Time. 'King of Fools' appears at number 13 in the list, which also features bands such as Jars of Clay, Third Day, Newsboys and Sixpence None The Richer. P.O.D's 'Satellite' album came first in the list followed by DC Talk's 'Jesus Freak' in second place.
The article in CCM Magazine has this to say about the album:
"Forget U2. Proving that rock 'n' roll and worship can co-exist, Brit rockers Delirious provided a follow-up to its highly lauded Cutting Edge release that upped the ante both musically and lyrically. With poppy gems like 'Deeper' and anthemic cuts like 'History Maker', Martin Smith and Co. provided another landmark release that sparked the Christian music industry's return to worship-oriented fare."
'King of Fools' reached number 13 in the UK album charts when it was released in June 1997. It was then released in the USA by Sparrow Records in May 1998 and went on to receive a Grammy Nomination the following year.
