An open letter from Tim Jupp:
On behalf of all the rest of the guys in Delirious? I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and those that you are working with for all of your tremendous support over the last 10 years or so. Many of you will know that the core of what we as a band have tried to do over this time has been to 'follow the cloud' and to try and take things wherever they go as we see God in the move amongst this generation in the UK.
So on Oct. 11th we will be releasing another single as again we just try to walk through another door that we see that God has opened up for us. In many ways we didn't know if this opportunity would ever come our way again and then this year the 'rules' were changed so that downloaded songs now count towards chart positions. For us this immediately reopened the conversation as it is still so much in our hearts to play our small part in giving this generation a platform to voice all that God is up to, and to shout from the roof tops that God is on the move.
Many of you will have read recently in the daily tabloids how some see that the church is dying and in the UK will be all but extinct by the year 2040-it is time to declare that this is not true! Our single is a track that says 'I'm gonna paint this town red with the blood of Jesus' so we would ask you with all the passion that you have if you would help us give profile to this bold declaration by encouraging all those that you are involved with to get behind the song and download it from iTunes on Oct 11th.
This is not a money making exercise for us but more a means of wanting to create opportunities where we can then talk about all that God is up to, whether this be to TV and press or just to people behind the scenes who are influencers to this generation.
I would appreciate if you could mention it to all your friends, or spread the word in any way you feel necessary.
So may I thank you again for supporting us in this and for helping us to fly the flag this way,
With much appreciation,
Tim Jupp (manager Delirious)
