'Rain Down' Enters SWR3 Air Play Chart At Number 2 In Germany
Last modified: 10 Jan 2005
'Rain Down', the third Delirious? single to be released in Germany, entered the SWR3 Air Play Chart at number 2 yesterday (9th January) making it the week's highest new entry. The single has so far only been released to radio, but is expected to be released to record stores in February by J-Star Records.
SWR3 is one of Germany's biggest secular radio stations and has been a firm supporter of Delirious? since they released their first single, 'Inside Outside', in Germany back in March 2004. 'Inside Outside' reached number 1 in SWR3's chart and 'Rain Down' now looks set to do the same. 'Every Little Thing' became the band's second single in September, following the release of the 'World Service' album.
As with the first two Delirious? singles in Germany, 'Rain Down' has been remixed for the German market by Udo Rinklin. Extra guitars have been added for the new version and Martin Smith has recorded some additional vocals. The final tracklisting, artwork and release date for the CD single have yet to be confirmed, but the release is expected to coincide with the three date Delirious? German Tour in February. The band will perform in Berlin (9th), Hamburg (10th) and Hannover (11th), with tickets available now from
