Delirious? Supporting Operation Christmas Child Charity
Last modified: 28 Oct 2005

Delirious? Supporting Operation Christmas Child Charity Delirious? are supporting this years 'Operation Christmas Child' appeal which aims to provide needy children in Eastern and Central Europe, and further afield in Asia and Africa, with gifts this Christmas. Since 1990, the Samaritan's Purse charity has brought the joy of Christmas to more than 38 million children and delivered more than a million gifts last year.

The annual project encourages individuals, families, schools, churches, businesses and other groups to fill shoe boxes with small gifts such as toys, crayons and sweets. The boxes are then sent to under privileged children around the world. Samaritan's Purse also provides disaster relief and recently responded to the Tsunami in South Asia, the Sudan / Darfur Crisis and the Bam Earthquake.

Delirious? have been filling shoe boxes with gifts for Operation Christmas Child for several years and the band are once again supporting the charity this year. "As a family we have made up Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes on several occasions. We love to do this as we know it both blesses the children that receive them and also gives our own children the chance to feel part of something bigger that can help others. We think it is a brilliant operation that we would always recommend others to be part of" explains Tim Jupp. If you would like to help the appeal, please visit the Operation Christmas Child website for more details.
