The latest album from Delirious?, 'World Service', has been named 'Contemporary Christian Music Album Of The Year' at this year's Christian Booksellers Convention in the UK. The award was announced at the annual CBC event, held at the Doncaster Exhibition Centre from 8th to 10th March.
The UK Convention is a Trade Show for Christian Publishers and Suppliers, involving more than 400 organisations from across the UK, Europe and beyond. The culmination of the Convention each year is the presentation of the 13 Trade Awards, including 'Book of the Year', 'Best Worship Album' and 'Best Contemporary Album'.
Nominations for all the awards are used to produce shortlists which are then judged by expert committees. The winners in each category are announced at the Trade Awards ceremony. 'World Service' becomes the third Delirious? album in a row to receive the CBC Contemporary Album Of The Year award, with their previous albums 'Audio Lessonover?' winning in 2002, and 'Glo' in 2001.
