Delirious? have been awarded the Gospel Music Association's prestigious 'International Award' at the 38th Annual Dove Awards ceremony held before a packed industry audience at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. The award, first introduced at the 2006 Dove Awards ceremony, is given to a performer from outside the USA that has made an impact, not just in their own country but also on the world at large.
The Dove Awards are described as the 'biggest night in Gospel music' in the USA and whilst Delirious? have previously received Dove Awards for their inclusion on compilation projects 'Streams' and 'Music Inspired by Narnia', receiving the 'International Award' this year stands out as an extraordinary achievement for the band.
This years Dove Awards were once again dominated by Chris Tomlin who took home a total of six awards, including Artist and Male Vocalist of the Year for the second year running.
