Fantastic 'Fire Tour' Comes To An End

After playing 9 concerts around the UK in the last 2 weeks, the 'Fire Tour' came to an end at Belfast's Waterfront Hall on 2nd June. The tour, which started in Wolverhampton on 21st May, has been hailed a huge success by fans and band alike. The gigs on the 'Fire Tour' featured a mix of both old and new songs, and contained some very special surprises for the audiences.
Each night was started off with a video highlighting the 'Hope HIV' charity that Delirious? support. US band 'All Star United' then provided the warm-up sessions, before a Mission Impossible themed video sequence introduced Delirious? on stage. During the gigs videos were projected onto the back of the stage, including previously unseen footage for songs such as 'Rollercoaster' and 'Alien'.
Other highlights of the shows included a Stu G solo performance of 'King of Fools', stunning renditions of 'Obsession' and 'Investigate', and a particularly popular moment during 'History Maker' featuring a David Beckham freekick! The setlist also included songs such as 'Mezzanine Floor', 'Touch' and 'Jesus Blood'. With the UK tour now completed, Delirious? will perform one-off gigs at Littlehampton beach (4th June) and the 'EO Youth Day 2002' in Holland (8th June) before starting their US tour on 19th June.
