Delirious? Fire Tour 2002 - Featuring special guests All Star United.
Of all the things that have been asked about Delirious? over the years - and, believe me, there's almost nothing that hasn't been chucked their way over time - well, of everything that's gone into print or into the air, one truth stands taller than the rest. More honest than 'what is he doing with that hair?' More insightful than 'where does the question mark come from?' More challenging than 'can you mix religion with rock n roll?' No, if you're after the ultimate revealing question then look no further: how on earth do they create such a buzz when they perform live? And, of course, you know the answer: it's not all about what's happening on earth, it's that there's a little of that extra sprecial spiritual sauce splashed on all over the place. Put it another way, there's more than the frontman up there.
The Guardian recently got all gooey after a live show, bigging the lads up with a 4 out of 5 and tales of what an 'exhilarating experience' the gig was. And, but for the fifth star they were right. Which is why it's only right that we let you know about the band's forthcoming trip about the UK in May. Over eight enigmatic dates the band will be spreading their good vibes and fresh vision among the likes of you and your mates. We've called it the Fire Tour 2002 - no prizes for guessing why - and you'll find yourself confronted with the full impact of a head on collision with material from 'Audio Lessonover?', the worship experience 'Deeper' as well as musicial treats from a few other darkened corners as well.
Bands hate to be pigeonholed. Ask any group to tell you what they sound like and they'll waggle on for hours about how hard it is to pin their sound down and all that. But some time that bird needs to be stuffed into the hole, just to help the rest of us figure them out a little more easily. And with Delirious? the live experience catches them at their very best. If you've seen them before, then why not get re-acquainted with some old friends. If you're a first-timer then it's about time you found out what all the fuss was about.
