Delirious? To Tour UK - The Mission Bell Tour
Last modified: 03 Jul 2006

Artist: Delirious?
Label: Furious? Records
Date: 03 Jul 2006

It wasn't that long ago (March, to be precise) that the band was out and about, touring UK churches, painting the town red. Well, you know how it is with Delirious? and tours, they just can't seem to get enough of them. So there are no prizes for guessing that there's another one just about ready to come out of the oven. What is surprising is the detail. Accompanied by Tim Hughes and band, Delirious? will be making their most ambitious bid yet to draw people in with awe-inspiring production and then draw them up in passionate, intimate worship.

Throughout October - and into November - The Mission Bell Tour will be taking the living heart of the latest Delirious? album and introducing it to thousands. When it comes to venues all the usual suspects have been brought in, and once again these high-end secular halls will find themselves shaking to the beat of a very different drum. From the Shepherd's Bush Empire to Glasgow's Carling Academy, the sounds of the underground will not be kept silent.

"Touring the UK is always special," explains Martin Smith, "but there's something about these next 13 dates that we're all particularly hungry for. The chance to see the church uniting, praising and going out to serve a world in need is a huge privilege."

According to Tim Hughes, the tour title makes perfect sense:

"Christians across the country are discovering just how strong the links are between worship and justice. With the world looking for answers to the injustice of poverty and suffering, this tour comes at an important time for us Christians."

With seven new Mission Bell videos, a full LCD screen and even more than the usual tricks and turns, the show raises the bar. Quite how high it goes is a treat that will have to be seen to be believed.

Also releasing this October is Delirious? Live Worship At Willow Creek, a full length DVD and audio CD.
