Delirious? & Rebecca St James headlines Alton Towers 10th Anniversary Event

After a decade of playing host to a day of spiritual thrills at Alton Towers, Ultimate Events are proud to announce the most epic of trips that promises to get the heart racing and the soul connecting. With a May-day of adventure at Alton Towers and a night of cutting edge music, thought and response from the best of the international Christian scene, this event promises to be the biggest yet. Those who come along will stand to take home something far deeper than the vertigo buzz and candy floss highs.

What with Alton Towers being the UK's only theme park large enough to square up to the American giants, the evening line-up has to be something special. With Delirious, Cameron Dante, Andy Hawthorne and Rebecca St James taking the stage, it's clear that the event has found a sense of balance. After a day on the rides for the crowds, these pioneering musicians and communicators are more than equal to the task of drawing out the meaning from the message.

Says event founder Mark Sherrett "'Right from the start I've been excited about establishing a credible, action packed, fun day out that is relevant and evangelistic, using music to communicate to today's generation." He's fired up about this event too, claiming that it "will be the biggest and best ever. I'm praying for a massive response and want to encourage loads of churches, youth groups and schools to organise coaches from right across the nation."

The day presents itself as the perfect package for groups looking to make connections with those on the other side of the vestry doors. As Mark says, in the past churches have sponsored a coach-load of tickets and opened up the doors to anyone up for the ride. The results have been consistently impressive, with young people impacted by a fresh, fun and relevant way of looking at the gospel. As for the group leaders, the location and line-up makes for a day that can't be missed.

This year's special guests form a perfect alliance: the epic sound and heart stopping message of Delirious sides up to Cameron Dante's feisty beats and incomparable compere skills. Founder of WWMT and Festival:Manchester Andy Hawthorne will help pull the message together and America's Rebecca St James lays up for a hit of spirit-filled sugar pop. Alongside will be some R&B grooves courtesy of Siani as well as loads of fringe acts and special surprises.

Over the last 10 years, the Ultimate Event day out at Alton Towers has grown to become the biggest one-day affair on the UK Christian Calendar. Joining the dots between superb entertainment and inspirational presentations of the gospel, the day out has left its mark on thousands of young people.
