Band Heralded by BBC, Seventeen Magazine
(Nashville, Tenn.) January 9, 2003 - Furious? Records Inc.'s Delirious?, Christian music's multi-million selling and best live rock worship experience, will celebrate the release of its critically acclaimed and fifth studio album, Touch, with a nationwide satellite radio and worldwide Internet special tonight, "On And Off Stage With Delirious?."
Featuring songs performed live from Touch, as well as fan favorites and behind-the-scenes band commentary, the hour-long special will debut today at 8:00 p.m. EST on The Torch, channel 31 on XM Satellite Radio. The following day, the special will be available to the world through Internet streaming provided by BuzzPlant at www.delirious.co.uk. Encore broadcasts will air on The Torch Jan. 11 at 10 p.m. EST and Jan. 14 at noon EST.
"The special gives us an opportunity to celebrate an amazing band," says Jeff Crites, The Torch program director. "Delirious? is the complete package. Renowned for their live shows, these modern rockers never fail to mesmerize with an ethereal combination of music and message."
In addition to the radio/Internet special, Delirious? will be featured by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). After researching London-area newspapers, the BBC learned of the annual Delirious? Christmas concert held Dec. 19 at The Forum and tracked the band down, briefly interrupting its sound check for an interview. The resulting Arts Feature will air tomorrow, Jan. 10, on the BBC1 6:00 p.m. News.
Delirious? was also heralded last month as Seventeen magazine's first pick for a "Christian artist that will rock you, whether you're a Christian or not." Published by PRIMEDIA Consumer Magazines, the general market publication Seventeen is the largest monthly beauty/fashion magazine in America with a monthly circulation of more than 2.3 million. Written for young women, 12-24 years old, the magazine reaches 87% of all female teens, 12-19, each year, providing teenage girls with the latest information on entertainment, fashion and lifestyle information.
