The first leg of Delirious' US Mission Bell Tour is now drawing to a close. The band have been travelling the length and breadth of the USA as part of their 13-city Spring tour, starting on 23rd March in California on the west coast, through to New York on the east coast where the tour ends later this week on 13th April. The band then travel north of the border into Canada to perform in Toronto (14-15 April) before returning to the UK.
For much of the tour Delirious? have been supported by popular rock band Tree63. This tour has also seen Delirious? using a stand-in drummer, Paul Evans, while regular drummer Stew Smith has stayed at home to be with his family. Paul, who has been standing in for Stew for the concerts between 31st March and 15th April, is a very experienced drummer, having worked with a number of artists and is a regular member of Cathy Burton's band.
Delirious? have been performing a number of songs from their current album, The Mission Bell, on this tour, including Solid Rock (featuring Martin on a megaphone), Our God Reigns and Paint The Town Red. The band have a handful of US dates taking place in May and June, with a further six US concerts confirmed for July, covering Wisconsin, Texas and Oklahoma.
