Five Date Mini UK Tour Announced For March
Last modified: 24 Jan 2006
Delirious? have announced plans for a mini UK Tour taking place this March. The five date tour will start at Swansea in Wales on 7th March and visit Bath, Norwich and Folkestone, before ending in Derby on 11th March. These will be the first UK tour dates of 2006 and will continue where December's UK 'Paint The Town Tour' left off.
UK Tour Dates:
March 07 - The Brangwyn Hall - Swansea
March 08 - The Forum - Bath
March 09 - The OPEN Youth Venue - Norwich
March 10 - The Leas Cliff Hall - Folkestone
March 11 - The Riverside Centre - Derby
This tour will see the band performing at smaller venues, with a bigger UK tour lined up for October. Delirious? will be handling the sale of tickets themselves via their new website
DTickets.co.uk. This marks the start of a new plan to give themselves more control and flexibility over ticket sales, rather than using a third party ticketing agency. Tickets for the five UK dates in March are on sale now priced at £12 including postage and booking fees, or as part of a special offer for a ticket plus 'The Mission Bell' CD for £19.
During the tour Delirious? will be supported by British singer/songwriter Jon Bilbrough. Jon, who has no permanent band, has been performing solo in London's acoustic venues for several years and in 2005 he supported Athlete on tour. He is also the son of popular British worship leader Dave Bilbrough. CrossRhythms said of Jon's debut EP, 'Falling',
"you get a driving rock track 'Falling' which has a full assault guitar sound that would do Delirious? justice while the song is hooky enough to sound good on radio."
