Delirious? In Year Long Assocication With MP3.com
Last modified: 20 Jul 2001

A Furious? Records press release has today revealed that Delirious? have entered into a year long association with the new-media website MP3.com. With reference to 'Take Me Away' the statement says, "The track will also be available via MP3.com as the first phase of a twelve month relationship. For the promotion of 'Take Me Away' and 'Audio Lessonover?' MP3.com will be using SingleServing direct emailing to over 250,000 subscribers alongside two Newsletter Preview emails to over 500,000 subscribers each. The band will also have a banner on the site and will be a featured artist on MP3.com. Other groundbreaking plans are to be announced."

Furious? Records managing director, Tony Potato explains: "One of the reasons for us releasing singles is to introduce the band to new fans through the media. Radio airplay obviously plays a significant part in this process and without airplay it is safe to say that it would only be the loyal fan base who would be buying the record rather than any new fans. The relationship with MP3.com is extremely exciting and reflects the band's and the labels' desire to embrace and explore new media".

Chris Montgomery, Vice President of Subscription Services at MP3.com added "We are extremely excited to be working with Furious Records on the release of the new Delirious single. They will no doubt, set an example for future targeted music promotions involving the internet."
