'I Could Sing' Enters Top 40 Singles Chart
Last modified: 16 Dec 2001

'I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever', the latest single from Delirious?, entered the UK Singles Chart at number 40 today (16th December). The song had been at number 37 in the mid-week chart after its release on 10th December. Presenter Mark Goodier had this to say about the single on the Radio 1 chart show:

"A band who were last in the chart in June with 'Waiting For The Summer', that got to number 26, 'I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever' Delirious? a new entry here at number 40... It's a reworking of one of their old songs and it features on their best-of album called 'Deeper' which will be out in January."

With just a short time to go until Christmas, chart sales have been exceptionaly high this week, resulting in the lowest chart position for a Delirious? single since their debut single 'White Ribbon Day' reached number 41 in 1997. The media once again failed to show much interest in Delirious?, despite this being their 7th Top 40 single.
