Like good Cub Scouts, we all know the importance of being prepared, right? But of all the plans that you might be making for this summer, there's one that stands head and shoulders above the rest: music. That's right, you can forget your fretting about a holiday destination, ditch the worries about the summer job and shelve the ruminations about that holiday romance. What's really going to matter for the Summer of 2001 are the tunes that go with it.
And it just so happens that we have just the track for you... Right now Delirious? forthcoming single is working up a sweat in warehouses up and down the country. Bursting with summer vibes and easy living, the band's first single in over a year flexes that Delirious? musical muscle which we all know and love. It's an immediate high, a 3 minute fix that will leave you feeling fine and dandy all over, and it's even cheaper than a bottle of fake tan - what better way to get an all-over glo?
Agents, pluggers, promoters and people who take long lunches have been getting excited about the single for weeks, and the early feedback on the single's campaign is great. Live and Kicking, T4, MTV... they're all up for it weeks in advance, making the vibe in d:camp positively UP. Oh yeah, there's also that little business of touring with Bon Jovi, which is nice. Keep an eye out for pleanty of promotion off the back of it.
So right now the hype's getting just about as feisty as it gets: we're counting the days to the 4th June - the day of release for the single and the start of what promises to be one of the hottest summers on record. There will be two versions of the single coming out, one of which comes pre-loaded with a CD ROM of the stunning new video. As ever it'd be great if you could spread the word about, getting your mates to sort themselves out with their copy of the single in the first week of release. With four years of singles, tours, albums and dedicated rocking out, the boys are primed and ready with a pure winner: 'Waiting For The Summer' and the following single and album feel unlike any other Delirious? release that has hit the shelves in the past. The difference Delirious? have never sounded so...delirious!
