Delirious? Perform At Hillsong Conference In Sydney
Last modified: 09 Jul 2003

Delirious? Perform At Hillsong Conference In Sydney Delirious? are currently in Australia, performing at the Hillsong Conference in Sydney. Today (9th July) they led worship at the morning 'Stream Session' and then performed a live set at the 'Evening Rally' in front of the huge crowd in the Syndey SuperDome, a venue built specifically for the 2000 Olympics. It is the largest indoor sports stadium in the Southern Hemisphere and was used for Gymnastics events during the Sydney Olympics.

During a seminar, Martin and Stu shared their thoughts on leading worship, with Martin telling the conference: "If we don't get the basics right, we'll never have our relationship with God right. If we don't keep our hearts in check, it really can lead to disaster. We couldn't really do what we do unless we were really embedded in a local church. We really don't know it all... But what we do know is that we need God. Most of all we need to remember that we are here to serve, not to be served. We are here to serve God and people, first and foremost."

On Thursday night (10th July) the band will again be performing at the 'Evening Rally' in the SuperDome, where conference organisers say: "we will be recording a special live album - Hillsong and Delirious?". Details about the Live Hillsong CD are still sketchy, but speculation that several songs performed at the conference by Delirious? will appear on the album look to be true. More details on this when they are available.
